An Old & New Post
Happy New Year 2007!!!, rhani, computer illustration, 2006.
Caramuru Part III, rhani, illustration (mixed media on paper), illustration for Femina Magazine for the story of ‘Caramuru’ , 1999.
Last night I had a chat with my best friend while having a cup of cappuccino and a couple of cigarettes… The topic was love.. and we both agreed that it was because of the rain that had been showering Jakarta for the past few weeks that had influenced the air…
We came up with some ‘words’ as ‘conclusions’ of the topic…
My conclusion was: Loving is as simple as being comfortable in a presence of someone even without having a conversation with that person..
Hers was: Sometimes in our life we find love that is beyond our reach.. an impossible dream.. But to forget it is even more impossible..
Funny thing was, her words came as a reaction to the situation I was in, and vice versa..
(Come to think of it, they were not conclusions.. We just made them up.. pretending that we understand life.. LOL)
Katedral Jakarta, rhani, photo, taken 1995, retouched 2006.
Hihihi..
Suasananya mengingatkan gw pada film “Hunchback of Notre Dame”. Nanti kalo udah ketemu gw posting deh.

Skies & Clouds, rhani, photo, somewhere above Indonesia, 2006
I bet many of us think of God when we look up to the sky…
We ‘think’ that God dwells somewhere up there…
We sometimes call Him as “He who’s above”…
We associate God with sky…
I myself… think of God automatically when I saw these skies…
With all the clouds, the blending of white & blue.. so smooth you can hardly differ the ocean from the sky…
Where the horizon is something undescribeable…
Then I think of His Greatness…
And suddenly I feel glad that He takes care of this blue planet… takes care of the sky above.. and the clouds.. and the plants..
to the ants that walk on the ground…
And I’m so glad that He takes care of me…
